Tracey is a Goulburn based visual artist working with a variety of mediums in both 2D and 3D, although the majority of her exhibited work has been sculpture, installations and relief work using fluted cardboard as the medium.

Prior to the Windmill Trust Scholarship Tracey has exhibited widely in group shows and solo shows in regional locations.

Tracey said “The Windmill Scholarship benefited my arts practice by contributing to the provision of time and resources to make work for a solo exhibition at a Sydney gallery”. Tracey also felt that it contributed to the opportunity to showcase my work in Sydney and have it reviewed in metropolitan media including the Sydney Morning Herald, Sun Herald and The Australian newspapers.

Tracey noted “I wasn’t successful in my first application for the scholarship. I am better at making art than I am at writing, and I encourage applicants to get help with the proof reading and the presentation of the application”.

Since winning the Windmill her career has grown significantly, with overseas exposure – exhibiting in international art fairs and exhibitions in Europe in 2015 and 2016.
